294.1 Dementia Due to Head Trauma
|
Dementia resulting from sudden mechanical
injury (such as a blow to the head) to the brain varies according to the severity of the
injury and the areas affected. It usually does not progress.
Diagnostic Criteria: Dementia Due to Other General Medical Conditions
Also: concussion, closed head injury,
post-concussion syndrome, traumatic head injury, traumatic brain injury, TBI,
CHI
