A medication-induced movement disorder, this symptom associated with neuroleptic drugs used in the treatment of mental disorders is characterized by motor restlessness accompanied by increased nervous or restless movement. The syndrome may also occur when anti-Parkinsonian drugs are reduced or discontinued.
