seasonal affective disorder (SAD)
This term usually applies to recurrent winter depression,
but other affective episodes may have a seasonal pattern, and sometimes depression occurs
during summers. This pattern may be associated with Bipolar I
Disorder, Bipolar II Disorder, or Major
Depressive Disorder.
