dystonia


The state of a voluntary muscle is called dystonic when the muscle is either hypertonic (spasm, too much tension) or hypotonic (flaccid, too relaxed).

Also: extrapyramidal syndrome, oculogyric crisis, opisthotonus, pleurothotonus
