psychopathology: anosognosia

Narrowly (and originally) defined as organic, rather than psychological, denial or unawareness of neurological deficits in non-dominant hemiplegia, the definition has broadened more recently to include dementia, other secondary disorders, and even some primary psychiatric disorders.
