BehaveNet® Clinical Capsule™:

pharmacology: first order kinetics

First order kinetics describes how most, but not all, drugs of interest for their effect on the central nervous system behave pharmacokinetically. When the dosing of these drugs is either stopped or changed, the concentration will rise or fall such that a constant proportion or fraction of the amount of drug present at the beginning of a given period of time will be present at the end.

Also: half life, zero order kinetics
