When the dosing of a drug that follows this pattern of pharmacokinetics is either stopped or changed, the concentration will rise or fall such that a constant amount of drug present at the beginning of a given period of time will be present at the end. Alcohol behaves according to zero order kinetics under ordinary circumstances (see BAC).
