A modest payment made by an HMO enrollee at the time that
selected services are rendered. Some HMO's require a $2.00 copayment for each
doctor's office call. Some impose a fixed dollar amount for inpatient hospitalization. Copayments
are subject to limitation as defined in Subpart A, 110.105 of the Federal HMO
Regulations.*
