BehaveNet® Clinical Capsule™:

EMDR: channels

The term channels is a metaphor which refers to manifestations of stored information that, when experienced by the client, are expressed as emotions, physical sensations, images and/or cognitions. A channel contains information that is associated by a thread such as a setting, an image, a belief, a physical sensation or an emotion. During reprocessing the client's consciousness moves through channels of associated information.*
