Adaptability is the ability of a system, for example, an
individual or a family, to survive and maintain its coherence
under changeable internal and external conditions. The term adaptation implies an outcome
at a given point in time, an adjustment that is a state of relatedness, whereas adaptability
is an ongoing process of relatedness.*
