family psychotherapy: game/strategic game
In everyday language, "game" defines a context (context marking) in which a distinction is made between "playing" and being serious," between "fiction" and "reality." In mathematical game theory, "game" depicts the set of behaviors that are permissible in an interactional system. Strategic games differ from games of chance in that the result is not solely determined by coincidence.*
