Installation

Installation is the fifth phase (fourth, sixth) of EMDR treatment. During installation, treatment effects are evaluated by the increasing confidence in the positive cognition as measured by the VoC. Installation is begun only after Desensitization is completed. (See Desensitization.) Installation generally continues until the VoC reaches 7 or is stable at 6 or a level that is ecological.
