easy onset (gentle onset)

(gentle onset)
Starting the voicing of a sound, syllable or word at a slow, smooth rate. The duration of each syllable within a word is stretched for up to two seconds. The easy onset is relaxed, and produced without effort: also referred to as gentle onset.
