Ganser syndrome

(Ganser's syndrome, hysterical pseudodementia, neuromimesis, nonsense syndrome, prison psychosis, syndrome of approximate answers)

Malingered intentionally wrong, but often approximate, answers in an apparent effort to simulate psychosis. For example when asked how many legs a horse has, the "patient" might answer "five."
