-the conscious enacting of a situation, followed by a verbal exploration, allowing the client to see a phenomenon more clearly, and to make explicit what is implicit. The enactment is different from impulsive 'acting out' which short-circuits verbal awareness, by substituting an acted outburst which is difficult to analyse.
