HIPAAranoia

Excessive worry, usually confined to medical providers, and often accompanied by the conviction that HIPAA constitutes the only source of rules related to release of patient medical information, that the provider does not know all the finer points of the law, that the provider will not comply fully with the law, and that the federal courts will convict the provider of a HIPAA related crime, regardless of the provider's best efforts.
