Forrest Gump

Principal Mr. Hancock tells Mrs. Gump, referring to her young son Forrest, “His I.Q. is 75.”
”The state requires a minimum I.Q. of 80 to attend public school, Mrs. Gump.”

Forrest’s commanding officer in Vietnam, Lieutenant Dan, tells Forrest, “They gave you, an imbecile, a moron, who goes on television... the Congressional Medal of Honor.” (1:15)

Bubba’s mother Mrs. Blue asks Forrest, “Are you crazy, or just plain stupid?” (1:27)

Forrest visits the grave of his friend Bubba. (1:27)

Lt. Dan tells Forrest, “You wrote me a letter, you idiot.” (1:32)

Forrest, referring to his mother: “She had got the cancer, and died on a Tuesday.” (1:41)

Forrest: “... and even though Bubba was dead, and Lt. Dan said I was nuts, I gave Bubba’s mama Bubba’s share.”
When she reads the letter Mrs. Blue faints. (1:42)

Television reporter: "Moments ago, at 2:25 P.M. as President Reagan was leaving... five or six gunshots were fired..." (1:58)
