“The coroner ruled that the unsuccessful suicide had suddenly become a successful homicide... The suicide was confirmed by a note in the right hip pocket to Sydney Barringer.” (0:02)

His dentist tells quiz genius Donnie, “You’re running around like crazy.” (0:09)

Police officer Jim: “My life is very stressful...” (0:11)

Linda tells her father Earl’s physician for terminal illness, “There’s more pain than before, and the... morphine pills aren’t working...”
Physician: “Now, as far as the morphine pills go there’s something else to consider. There’s a very strong, very potent solution of liquid morphine... ” (0:17)

Jim tells his nurse Phil, referring to Linda, “She’s a little nuts... a little daffy.”
Phil: “Your memory?”
”I’ll get another pain pill, another morphine pill.” (0:20)

Game show host Jimmy tells his daughter Claudia: “Just don’t go crazy.”
Claudia: “I’m not crazy. Don’t you tell me that I’m crazy!” (0:33)

Jimmy tells his wife Rose by telephone, “There’s coke and shit laid out on the table.”

Inteviewer Gwenovier tells motivational huckster Frank, “Psychology major.” (1:11)

The pharmacist asks Linda, “You been on Prozac long? Dexedrine?”
”Interesting drugs. Dexedrine’s basically speed in a pill, you know, but I guess a lot of the doctors are balancing out the Prozac with the Dexedrine, so... That liquid morphine... You can’t mix those up, you know.” (1:12)

Jim tells Claudia, “You’re gonna drive these people crazy.” (1:20)

Gwenovier tells Frank, “Actually, I’m confused about your past...” (1:28)

Lawyer Alan asks Linda, “Are you on drugs right now?”
Linda. “Like a shrink. If I go see a shrink, I’m protected.”

Claudia contemplates her cocaine and paraphernalia. (2:16)

Alone in her car Linda washes down pills with booze. Suicide attempt? (2:17)

Dixon: “Check that ego.” (2:35)

His wife Rose asks, “Why doesn’t Claudia talk to you, Jimmy?” (2:36)

Claudia tells Jim, “I’m really nervous that you’re gonna hate me soon.”
”You don’t know how crazy I am.” (2:37)

Jimmy tells Rose, referring to Claudia, “I think she thinks that I may have molested her... some crazy thought...” (2:39)

Jimmy holds a revolver. (2:44)

Claudia snorts cocaine. (2:46)

Jimmy presses the muzzle of the revolver to his cheek and pulls the trigger, but a bullfrog hits him so the gun fires at the television. (2:49)

Narrator: “And there is the account of the... suicide.” (2:52)

Claudia appears to wear a straightjacket when Jim visits her, but we can see her wrist. Does she lie in a hospital bed? (2:58)
