Still No Freedom of Information from FDA

Five and a half years ago I reported my attempts to find out from the FDA the identity of the company or companies that administer REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) programs under contract with FDA.

FDA still has not processed my FoIA (Freedom of Information Act) request for the information. Their excuse: Covid 19 related FoIA requests have higher priority. They tell me to check back in 6 months. Is this information really free?

As I have said before, this information does not require retrieval from a file. FDA employees probably regularly (I hope.) monitor the activities of REMS programs. They already know who runs them.

I have asked my Congressman Adam Smith to intervene. We shall see.
