The process of modifying one's own responses based on either internal or external cues. Returning a portion of the output of a transmitted signal as input for self regulation. The reinforcing effect of the stutterer's auditory or proprioceptive perceptions of his own speech. (Also see corrective feedback and delayed auditory feedback.)
